As I stood there watching colleague after colleague pass my little girl around for snuggles, I realized that I have truly been blessed with another family and another home. That's not to say that McMicken, my first school is not a second home anymore. It's just that now in the five short months that I worked at Hilltop before my maternity leave, these people became important to me and I feel so comfortable around them. I am thankful for the beautiful baby shower they threw for myself and two other pregnant teachers (I mean diaper cakes...wow!) but more importantly I am grateful for these people in my life!
