Nana & Papa

Micah loved getting a full weekend with his Nana and Papa. He knew exactly who they were when they arrived from California for the weekend. He is in the crying phase with strangers so we were a bit worried that he would cry for them, but he didn't at all. He definitely remembered them. He laughed and smiled and loved and soaked up their kisses all weekend long. Phil and I enjoyed watching the three of them. We also took advantage of my parents being here and found time to run errands just the two of us. We even had our first "date night" since Micah was born, which was only about an hour long, but it was really super nice. It was the first time I'd been able to have a drink at the the Beer Junction since it opened while I was pregnant and we can't go there with Micah. We forgot how important it is to make time for just the two of us.

Also, happy birthday to Micah's amazing Papa Jay. My dad is so loving and caring for all of us and we are so thankful for his love and support. He has done so much to make me the person I am today. I can only hope that Micah will grow up learning as much from his Papa as I have. And yes, Dad, there will be Disneyland trips...

  1. We could not be happier with our adult children and their families. As we like to kid, Ben is fortunate to have someone as amazing as Beth. You know how much we love you, Phil and Micah. I never thought that my relationship with a grandchild could be as special as with our children but I was wrong. The relationship with Micah is as important and loving as with you and Ben. xoxoxo ILYTWWW
