Micah at Five Years Old!

In the last half a year, Micah:

-Sometimes wears mismatching socks, sometimes tries to color coordinate by wearing all blue
-Just began to be a bit more brave on the playground going down the slides
-Lego master. Can do a lot on his own.
-Loves to tinker and create with random supplies (creating things like a vending machine)
-Gymnastics has amped up to really work on skills. He did a week long coed camp in summer and had his last class with Coach Pele in June. Now is working with Coach Corey. They are starting to work on donkey kicks and cartwheels and around the world and more.
-Is funny and can be sarcastic. Uses words and phrases like actually and "really though?" 
-Loves all things Star Wars
-Is interested in fossils and insects
-Went fishing with his dad for the first time
-Loves entertaining his little sister and loves helping her too
-Sensitive to smells and just recently claimed to like the smell of the dumpsters in the junction better than some of our dinner meals!
-Traveled with Uncle Benj to Nana and Papas without Mom and Dad for two days.
-Spent two nights at Gramma Susan's alone.
-Likes dance parties and pop music like the Trolls soundtrack and Uptown Funk
-Needs a while to warm up to new situations
-Transitioned so well to preschool, enjoys it (especially because it's "so short"!)
-Currently likes to eat pizza (pepperoni was his favorite until he started taking all the pepperonis off so we began to order just cheese), plain pasta with Parmesan cheese, meat and cheese tacos, burgers, sausage and hot dogs, eggs, apple slices, and all things sugar
