Independence Day

Ok, so the 4th was so two weeks ago, but better late than never. We had a wonderful fourth of July right here in our own home town (seeing as Phil & I have spent our 4th's as a married couple in Puerto Rico, Hawaii, & Lake Cavanaugh/Arlington!....). We walked about 7 miles around West Seattle checking out the kids parade, the new Ma Kai (Marination's new restaurant next to the water taxi), Alki beach, and the quieter Beach Drive. Micah did so great napping in the stroller for most of our walk. Then we headed down to Burien to watch the parade with Gramma Susan where we walked even more and checked out a yummy Mexican restaurant that was so authentic they had the chickens roasting on a spit out back! What better way to spend the fourth in America than eating Korean influenced Hawaiian food and Mexican food and getting our walk on!
